Click to Call adds a sidebar to Google Sheets that lets you quickly search rows, view row details, and trigger a call from phone-like values.

Admin note: Some Google Workspace organizations restrict add-ons. If install is blocked, your admin may need to allow it.

How it works

  • Open any Google Sheet.
  • Go to Extensions → Click to Call → Open.
  • Type to search. Click a row to see details.
  • Click a phone-like value to call it.

Call modes

  • URL Mode: You set a template like https://pbx.example.com/call?to={{NUMBER}}.
  • TEL Mode: The add-on opens tel: links using your system’s default handler.
  • Phone-like values are detected by stripping non-digits; values with more than 7 digits are treated as callable.

Security & Data

The add-on reads spreadsheet values only to search and display matches. It stores only your personal settings (call mode and optional URL template). When you trigger a call in URL mode, it sends the number to the URL you configured.

You should only configure call URLs that you trust and understand.
